Thanks,
Update- they have had my truck now for 2 weeks and thought it was the EGR. With the new ones (2- to be exact ) the truck won’t even start. So now they have put the old one back in to get it to start. At this point I very little confidence in this eco diesel and they have no clue what is going on with it. At this point I’m just hoping to get out of this truck.

I just got mine back from the Dealer on Fri July 24th. (Bought my 2020 on July 4th). They replaced the following:

1) Sensor -Map
2) Heater/C0-EGR Tube
3) Gasket-EGR Tube
4)Tube-EGR Tube
5) O Ring
6)) Tube-Vacuum

Tech replace Boost Pressure Sensor, EGR Cooler and Vacuum Hoses.

Codes: P0106, P26FB & P00AF, Failure of EGR Cooler and Boost Sensor.

I drove it about a 100 miles towing my Travel Trailer and thankfully never had an issue.

I’m not sure if this is an issue or not but my DEF gauge is still on full. It hasn’t moved at all. When I started have all of the Service Electronic Throttle issues, my gas mileage dropped down into the teens and my RAM was gulping down my DEF. I’m not sure what normal should be as this is my first Diesel.

Hope my truck has no further issues. We have no long trips with the Travel Trailer scheduled for another 8 months, only a few local short drives till then.

Hopefully they figure your problems out soon. Very frustrating and irritating to say the least!

I just got stranded yesterday in 112 degree heat with this “Service Electronic Throttle Control” Error and immediate loss of power on the freeway. I limped back into town going about 40 miles per hour and stopped at the first stop light where the truck Wouldn’t accelerate so I pulled off the road and turned the engine off. No fluid leakage and all gauges were normal in the dash. I recently, about 6 weeks ago, had the updated AEM fix for acceleration problems but the dealer didn’t do the EGR cooler recall because they had no parts. Anyway I waited in the heat for 2 hours for the tow truck and had them tow it back to the same dealer. I’m at 102,000 miles and still am under the extended AEM warranty so praying it’s the EGR cooler or related and it is covered. Something was burning from under the truck after I pulled off the road. Any help you guys could give me on this issue would be very appreciated!

I have a issue with my 2016 Eco-diesel. I lost acceleration at points in my driving and then got a message " Service Electronic Throttle Control " I have 113000 km on my vehicle so warranty is up by 13000 km. Dealership said it was going to be a $4800.00 fix. Contacted Dodge to see if they could do anything of coarse the answer was "NO". Even though the soot must have been building up before the light came on. I would like to know how many people this has happened to. This should be a recall cause it is a safety concern if your vehicle fails to accelerate in an intersection this could become a deadly situation.

If you have gotten the "Service Electronic Throttle Control" or are starting to lose power while driving please comment
Having the same issue with my 2014 Ecodiesel today! Not very happy! Anyone have any other solutions?

Yes i just came back Here to update my status.
It’s taken them 2 weeks to diagnose a failed turbo and EGR cooler. I had to get ahold of Chrysler because my dealer blew me off and left me in the dark, not answering or returning any of my calls or voicemails for almost 2 weeks. Chrysler got us on a conference call where my service rep was rude and completely clueless on who was going to pay for the repairs. I explained my truck is still under ARM warranty and those parts are covered. She then tried to argue with me and the Chrysler rep said yeah it’s covered under V08. Anyway they told me it’s going to take 2 more weeks for my to get my truck back. The good news it’s it’s all covered, and I’ll keep this updated.

Just got this code. I lost all power and can barely break 40 mph. Headed to the diesel mechanic now so I’ll keep y’all updated.

My wife was driving to the grocery store when all of the sudden the truck lost all power and she could not accelerate when depressing the pedal. She was in Heavy traffic and was in danger of getting struck by other vehicles. We have a 2014 1500 Dodge Ram Econo Diesel. We have had several recalls and have been contacted again for others to be fixed.

Our Truck is Brand New and only has 9000 miles on it and It's getting the same Codes. P026D, P0299 and "Service Electronic Throttle Control" on the Dashboard. I cleared them once via an OBD App and they came back the next day. Uggh.. Will have to take it to the Dealer to get it looked at. It seems to drive somewhat ok but has less power.

Did you get get a "Service Electronic Throttle Control" message? This happened to my 2014. I took it to the diesel shop and it was shooting low boost. They couldn't find anything causing the turbos not to build boost. All it took was flashing the ECM and its running fine now.

Having the same problem today. The second time this has happened in a month. I was in a left turn and lost all power in the middle of 3 lanes of oncoming traffic. This a safety hazard.

I'm also having intermittent problems with the Service ETC message on my 2016 Laramie, 75000 mi. Mine comes on at random and then usually goes away the next time the truck is cycled (turned off then on). The check engine light illuminates at the same time, but usually goes off after about 2-3 cycles. When the ETC message is active the truck is in limp mode. My code reader consistently shows two codes that repeat - P0192 and P0193 (high and low fuel rail pressure). When their iisn't ano ETC message, the truck appears to operate normally (even if the CEL light is still on).

I've been planning on getting the GED tune at some point, so I might go ahead and pull the trigger on that to see if it will help with this problem. Any thoughts?

Hi all, I apologize for the frustration. Should you move forward with your dealers on this, please know that our team is just a private message away and we are more than willing to escalate cases on your behalf so that a specialist can work alongside you and your dealer while your truck is in service.

We dropped off our brand new 2019 Truck with only 9000 miles to the Dealer for this same problem as I described above. They gave it back to us after tightening some hoses and other small things. We barely drove it another 20 miles and the same thing happened again. P026D and P0299 Codes. "Service Electronic Throttle Control" on the Dash. Dropped it off at the Dealer again today. This is downright frustrating and absurd to be having this problem on a brand new truck. I'm surprised they haven't figured out a fix or the root cause of the problem given this issue is so pervasive with these trucks. The saga continues... See attached for what they did that didn't fix the issue in case it helps to track this somehow. Would be great to get RamCares engaged here... We love the Diesel engine and the great mileage and hopefully can get past this.

Just dropped off my 2015 for the 3rd time in as many months. Got it on July 28th and it’s been in 3 times for the same code. They’re basically lemons because they have no true fix to them.

I had this last week, 2015 Eco with 95,000 miles, still in the shop but they called yesterday and the PCM is out. No warranty of course but in the FCA settlement the PCM will receive an updated warranty. I am going to contact FCA to try and get them to cover it anyway.
How do you contact fca? What is the number
