Curious
Was the Shell renewable on a separate island? How was it marked, as Shell renewable or Neste renewable or ??. Are you in Washington? Was it priced the same as #2 or a bit higher?
CuriousLots of good information...so I put 10 gallons of Shell's renewable in my almost empty 21 ED and didn't notice any difference in power or MPG, it ran just as it has with #2 in it. I continue to use Hotshots Diesel Extreme as instructed as well. Due for a filter change here shortly and will pass on my results/findings accordingly.
On another note; contacted the dealer (AGAIN) regarding the HPFP recall, and NOW I'm being told I need to bring it in for an inspection, which I was informed 90% are failures before I can get on the list for parts. This same dealer supposedly put me on a waiting list 5 months ago. Grrrrrrr... Rep claims they're receiving parts at a rate of 1-2 per month as FCA is distributing equally amongst the dealers. He estimated my wait to be 3-5 months if I bring it in next week. Now I know what an aneurysm feels like!
At the Shell station I used in CA, there was a separate island with HPR and E85. I don't believe there was any Shell or Neste marking on the island. At the time, it was close to the lowest diesel price. GasBuddy allows you to search for Propel stations on the PC, but not on the app. The 76 app used to show which stations had renewable, but the app isn't working right now.Curious
