Kind of wish there was a front camera. If I am stuck going to a shopping center it is near impossible to know just how far forward you should park. The hood is long and straight out. Little cars parked in front disappear below your vision easily.

Often think about getting some kind of front push bar to protect the truck. Also have trouble parking in my garage each time. Built a little wall of plywood so that when I actually bump the stuff I can see the top move and stop there.

Capt. The next time you have it parked in the garage properly, mark a spot on the ceiling and then tie a tennis ball on a string so that when you park the tennis ball touches the windshield. Voila.! No garage or truck damage done every time.
My dad did that, he still tagged the garage wall.

My 2021 2500 Tradesman has quite a nose on it. Parking at the stores is testy at times, can't see shit when up close.
I have the same issue with the 1500. I don't know if the panels are interchangeable, but the hood and fenders look the same on the 1500 with the V6 and 2500 with the Cummins. The bumper and fascia (?) 'are bigger on the 2500 and it sits a little higher. Chevys that don't have an I6 (AFAIK) look like they have a higher hood and worse visibility. I wonder if the RAM with I6 room has a longer hood than GM and Ford? I wish we had lower fenders for better visibility.

I thought the cabs on the Ram truck line were the same with the length of the hood and fenders the only real differences. Anybody able to confirm?

I did read that you could put a 2500 hood on a 1500, but you have to use the 2500 grill, then modify either the grill or the bumper.

The garage I keep the truck in was built with a very high ceiling. 8 ft. Door but at least 11 ft. roof. Since it would be hard to do that and I an “the man”, never did that. Do have a mark on the side where I stop when my head is there. Sometimes my head is in my butt.

Did string a rubber piece on the house garage for the side my wife parks on. She is scared to touch that thing to the windshield. I have a workbench in front of her car with lots of space to work. Now she parks so faraway the garage door barely misses the back of her car. Been lucky she has not smashed the tailgate or back with that door.

Thank goodness the engineering of emissions equipment on the Cummins has been relatively successful. with the same basic stuff as other diesel engines it has far fewer failures.

It will be interesting to see just what GM has done with the new 3.0 L inline engine.
I believe I read the service interval for the timing belt has increased to 200k (among other things). I know this was a concern for many people. If this new interval is accurate, it would be a nonfactor for a majority of owners.

For me backing in the garage is easier as I can see the side mirrors and use the camera to verify how far in I am. My Eco didn’t have a backup camera so would just use the garage door release to tell how far back to go. My wife backs her car in too and hasn’t had an issue in years….now if I could just talk her into learning how to back a trailer in without that whole divorce thing

Backing into a garage is a bit of a novel idea to me. Always loading and unloading the bed so it would not be practical. My circular driveway has two garages coming off the circle. Each has a straight part before the doors so backing would also be rather tedious.

Good reason for a front camera in addition to the unseen area in front of the high hood.
