Don't mess with Texans when it comes to their Trucks. In addition to being one of the largest automotive markets in the country, Texas is also known as Truck Country. When members of the Texas Auto Writers Association talk about the trucks they like, everyone tends to listen, including the automakers. In case you haven't guessed it by now TAWA has chosen a new Truck of Texas and that truck is none other than the the 2014 RAM 1500 Diesel. The Ram 1500 claimed the award last year as well, so "what's the difference" you say? This year the judges particularly liked the new 3.0-liter EcoDiesel engine and we can't say that we blame them. The EcoDiesel has already earned the Best Powertrain award in the diesel-powered Jeep Grand Cherokee, so tossing it in the RAM 1500 has win written all over it. A huge congratulations goes out to RAM and the Chrysler Group. Great job guys!
