Issue and I want to see if anybody else is having this problem. When towing my bass boat at highway speeds I have a vibration in the truck. No shaking steering wheel, all is normal there. I am towing a dual axle trailer, tire pressures are tight on spec for truck and trailer. Weight is about 4,500lbs. The truck vibrates so bad at 60-70 plus it makes you think a tire is getting ready to leave the truck. My truck is a 4x4 crew with the short box. My truck I traded didn't have any issues...... Looking for any suggestions, My dealer may or may not be helpful.

Does the vibration quiet down when you get off the throttle? Only happen under load?
Without more info, it sounds like a bad U-Joint on the driveline, or a carrier (center support) bearing, but its hard to believe a new vehicle would have either one of those go out. Also, there would be at least some vibration even when you are not towing.
What is your tongue weight ?
The vibration stays constant on or of the throttle.... I think think the same new truck driveline should be ok. Tongue weight is right at 400. Went from a 2012 chevy 1/2 ton that got 10 mpg towing... This at least gets 17.5 towing in Ohio I

Check your tires on the trailer. I had the same issue one day " with my old truck" and I thought the tranny was going to fall out of it. I had never been so happy to have a blowout. The trailer tire was separating, and at first glance it looked fine but get it up to speed and the vibration of it swelling would shake the truck loose until it finally blew out. I checked everything from the tranny to the drive shaft, even thought it was the torque converter.

Check your trailer tires out real good. I had the same vibration that you described and it was a tire on my Travel trailer. The cords started to separate and the tire bulged around the circumference of the tire. The vibration started at 60 mph and was horrible at 70 mph. I had this happen to me while returning home from a trip to Colorado about a month ago. Good luck!

Another thing to do is tow the trailer with a different truck and see if the problem follows the trailer.
I will do that, I took 2 off last night and did the visual, but that isn't at 60 plus with a load. I will take the tires off and get them checked and balanced. Thanks for the help gents, I will advise if that was it. Truck is amazing. Good friend of mine are heading to a fishing tournament in 2 weeks, I can't wait to be able to pass him in his tundra as he stops for gas, and I can keep going in the Eco lol.

Rotate the truck tires back to front and see if the vibration can be felt in the steering wheel. Does the truck have a vibration without the trailer? If not I do not think the truck is the issue. A u-joint would be there with or without the trailer and the 1500 trucks do not have a carrier bearing. The only other thing that I can think of is an emergency brake left partly on or sticking. I think I would go over the trailer with a fine tooth comb. Check hubs and hub bearings, and tires.
