I think what happened is that I copied the same posting I had made on the other ecoD site into here and for some reason it picked up my ID and registration from over there and showed it up over here. Strange since it was just a cut and paste that this site would let me post under a different site registration name.

I don't think that's it. I can see you've been posting under both usernames over the past 3-4 years. One account was registered Oct. 18, 2018 and the other on Mar. 29, 2019.

IT's HERE!!
The dealership called and my new engine has arrived at the dealership! YEA!!!!

Went to talk with them about it and the service manager said let's go talk directly to the engine tech and make sure we know what we have and what we want to do.

New engine is said to have a 3 yr/100K mile warranty on it.
Engine includes:
1. New glow plugs
2. New injectors
3. New full wiring harness and sensors
4. New water pump
5. New HPFP that they think is the new style....but need to uncrate to examine
6. New Turbo charger
7. New serpentine tensioner pully (I will purchase new belt to be safe since there is 96K miles on the old )
8. Will only fill with Rotella T6 5w40 along with new oil filter

A new 900CCA battery was installed in August while attempting to troubleshoot.
Already has a new starter at the start of these issues back in Tx/August
A New coolant overflow tank was installed while attempting to find the problem...in OCT.

Because of what I have seen/heard on this fourm, I will go ahead and install and new fuel lift pump from the fuel tank. No use waiting for it to fail in 25-30K miles.

Finally, I will pay for new radiator hoses to make almost everything as well covered as possible.

Since the cab is off and the old engine coming out, anyone have any other items that I might want to think about before it gets closed back up and on the road again?

Appreciate any suggestions as now is the best time to address

There's a good all-aluminum radiator on Ebay that's a good upgrade if better cooling suits you. Otherwise replace with OEM as the plastic end tanks will eventually leak at the seams.

New DPF or a good DPF cleaning should be in order.

I would spring for a new tone wheel and sensor while the tranny is apart !!!
But it should be part of the new motor.
