Who has a new engine?

I'm getting a replacement engine and I'm wondering about it. I know a number of people on this forum have put a second engine in so I'd really like to hear from them.

Questions:
What kind of warranty did they give on the new engine?
Did you consider an additional full coverage MoPar warranty extension for 5/100K miles? If so, why or why not?
Did you keep the truck or decide to trade it?

What things surprised you about the new engine, good or bad?

ure you have dealer do your oil changes would get 3 years 100,000 miles they would not cover miy 2nd engine which I paid 15;000 to put in cause I changed my own oil. Still waiting since new bearings in July to have the place put it back together. Been down since 7 march 2021

If you go the dealer route (or any other oil change option) -- verify they are filling with 5w40. Some have said theirs was filled with incorrect oil and that oil changes might be responsible for engine failures

I guess a better question is -- Anyone needing a new engine change their own oil since the truck's purchase?
