I had a new engine put in mine under warranty in August.
Funny you should ask about the warranty, because I do not actually have anything in writing. I asked the dealership I worked with several times over the phone to provide me with that information, which they kept forgetting. The day I picked up my truck, the service manager was out of town. My BS threshold was finally exceeded, I needed my truck back, so I took possession without ever getting a definitive answer. I got two oral replies of 2 yrs/unlimited mileage.
As for the engine, no surprises yet, but it has hardly been used. My camping season was shot when the engine blew in July, and that is my primary use for the truck. I have probably only put 1000 miles on it since it was repaired. Next year will be the test.
The Mopar extended warranty letter is still sitting on my desk at home. I don't intend to pick it up - if the engine fails again, I do not have room in my life for that kind of uncertainty in my vehicles.
