Thanks for the email. I tried calling them a couple of times yesterday but no one picked up. I've never had much luck getting them on the phone. I emailed them the video and will report back with what they say!
I am glad I am not the only one that hasn't gotten responses back from GDE..

Nothing important but I have sent them multiple emails and non have been replied to even though I am a paying customer..

I've never seen that with my ED - was that the only time it did it? Or was the video you had in your first post the same as this one?

Blue smoke typically means oil but of course the ED is burning "oil" for fuel. Unless it's doing a regen I have no idea...

GDE was closed last Friday the 24th and Monday the 27th for the Memorial Day holiday. Right now they're busier than one-armed paper hangers with all the reflashes and new business from the AEM updates. Call their office - they'll get back to you.

105,000km (65,000 miles). I had the throttle locked wide open in that video, so it was reving at 2500rpm.

...and it "only" went 2500 rpm?

Holding down the throttle is a hard thing to do. Tried it to keep a regeneration going while stopped. Near impossible to hold things steady with the foot. Guessing some form of pole from the steering wheel to the throttle pedal that screwed in and out might work. Just figuring that if you put a brick or something on it to hold it down, the thing would rev way above 2,500 rpm.

Report back if you figure it out or it just stops on its' own.

Haven't used it since, Captain. And yes, I just stuck a piece of angle iron on the throttle and 2500rpm was as high as it would go. I drove it for about a 4 minute round trip to my kids school after that and it worked fine as always. I'll have it back on the road tomorrow I think.

That looks similar to what happened to me. I sat idling for about 45 minutes. When I went to leave I noticed smoke in the rear view mirror. It wasn't until I stopped at a light did I notice a strange burning smell. I got home let the truck cool down (sat for a couple hours), when I went to go out to eat, it still smoked. After dinner, I ran it down the highway for 30 minutes and it went away. Has never done it again.
