Worthwhile changing transmission fluid?

Here's my thread on the DT series trucks. Fill port is on the passenger side, but your DS truck is on the driver's side. Same procedure.
The fill on his '14 is on the passenger side, next to the dpf.

Note that to get the transmission level the rear end needs to be 8-10" off the ground.
ZF instructions state to have the vehicle level. Hopefully you followed the remainder of the ZF instructions.

Where did you get those instructions? They are not ZF instructions for servicing our transmission.
The ZF instructions are not vehicle specific. The transmissions in these trucks are on an up slope, not level like in the majority of other vehicles they're in. The rear end of the truck needs to be raised to get the transmission itself level. Levelling the truck only leaves the rear of the transmission low and will result in an insufficient volume of oil being added back in.

Where did these instructions come from?

Again, ZF directs you to level the vehicle.

FACTORY instructions from a new 8-speed. ZF makes the transmission. Chrysler makes the truck and knows proper procedures to level it.
Feel free to follow which ever procedure you like should you ever work on your own.
I've changed mine 3 times now, thanks for allowing me to choose lol.

I would bet ZF has a tolerance given to vehicle manufacturers on static angle of transmission installation, and writes their instructions with that in mind. But like you said, you do you.
