2022 Truck wont start, possible battery issue?

Hello All,

My 2022 Ram 1500 wont start with just 2,200 miles on it. I get this attached picture on my dash when trying to startup. Tried disconnecting the battery and waiting 30 minutes, no dice. Also tried jumping the battery with no change. All the accessories inside turn on fine so the battery must have plenty of juice. Any thoughts?

Thanks

Lots of the accessories will still run on a lower voltage. If the voltmeter showing is correct, 12.1V, it's close to dead. Bad batteries right off the shelf or little use have been know to be faulty. Even a jump may not have enough to get it going. I would put the charger on overnight and see the results on the dash in the morning.

These 5th Gen Rams are very sensitive to bad (or going bad) batteries. They will exhibit all kinds of weird problems when the battery is not in tip-top shape.

Looks like you got a bad one, to me. Fortunately, should be under warranty, I would think.

Charged the battery and no dice on the start. Voltage drained down to 11.9 as soon as I hit the start button . Tried jumping again with a GooLoo3000 jumper rather than another car this time and nothing as well.

Is there supposed to be a cranking sound or the engine attempting to turn over when the battery is charged? I would assume so but all I hear is a slight mechanical whirl when pressing the button. Dealers around me are out by around 3-4 weeks before I can expect to get it serviced.

The GooLoo 3000 isn't doesn't offer sufficient voltage for the EcoD you need a minimum of the GooLoo GP4000. I understand this is a warranty issue, so either way you're due a new battery on FCA's dime. I'd suggest you call the service dept and say hey i've just got a dead battery can you just check it out?

Do you hear a click sound but no start? Try a few times and then slide under the truck and feel the starter. If the starter is hot, it is done. I went thru the same indicators with my 15 with 68k kms. # different boost gave me nothing but a click and my battery was less than 2 months old. Dealer mechanic did a voltage check at the starter while using the remote start and agreed that the starter was toast.

Update

Received a call from the dealer today. They got it looked at a lot sooner then the advisor estimated. Turned out to be the wiring/harness connector that sends power from the battery to the starter that was causing the issue. Nothing wrong with the actual battery or starter. They replaced the wiring under warranty and tested the truck several times to make sure nothing else is going on. All seems to be good so I will be picking up the truck tomorrow morning.

Thanks everyone for reply's.
