Amazon via JD Auto & Truck. I have an Amazon routed email from them claiming that they are factory Authorized, it is new, and it has a Factory warranty. I figured that would be enough if I ever had an issue.

By the way, I just ran the cable under the weather strip which runs up the door opening. Doesn't interfere with anything and keeps the cable secure....no need to remove the panel.

One more edit, I received it the next day, Ordered on Wednesday and received on Thursday. Was shipped free via UPS Next Day Air. I live in NH and this shipped from MA but still...surprised me.

No MAC support kills it for me, as we're all Apple at home. Installing it on my work laptop would set off all kinds of alarms. Are there other products that have update software that doesn't require a computer or runs on a MAC?

While the torque app works on my "other " vehicle I have not tried it on the ram. Anyone used it on the ED? The only time you should need a windows based computer is if the edge needs updating. I'm with you and have apple equipment but have found someone to update the edge once. Another thing with using the torque app is you have to physically start it every time you get in the vehicle. The edge or scangauge comes on and off with the ignition.

Torque works just fine with the ED, I used it until last week when I got my Edge. More important is setting the app to not scan handshake protocols. Set it from "Automatic" to the one for the ED which is ISO 15765-4 CAN (11 bit 500k baud). Not doing this will result in lots of CELs.

im close to getting back to a 16 ED. I am not computer smart or don't understand how this all works. I was wanting to get the GDE and the way I understand it is that you just swap it out and there is no screens or anything it is just a software thing you don't see and is like stock truck and no gauges. Now their is the Edge or cts2 or whatever that seems to have screens and stuff. Is this something that someone that knows what they are doing can install and if so does it have to be taken out ever time truck goes to dealer? Id like to be able to force regen if it is simple and don't want gauges just hanging off window or dash but if it is simple and helps id like to have it all.

Update on the update for CTS. Beauty. Click click all done. Went out to do some errands press the regen and inside of a mile temps went up and regen happened at 60%. Nice to be able to push a regen for a city/short haul guy like me.

As far as the GDE If I am correct I would order it and id like to keep my ecu so just pay total amount and they mail the new ecu to swap it out and that is all to do on that one correct? I know my mechanic can do that one if that is correct.

hopefully I will work out a new truck by my birthday in December. Been waiting for the 16s to get some discounts close to the 15 model discounts.

Mr Crappie myself I would wait until I got the truck the edge there's several models to chose from and the tune you have to have the truck before you can tune it because of engine codes . And there's very little installation for the edge, just pillar mount 2 screws and tuck wire in door rubber.

Myself I bought mine from Amazon, they seem to be the best deal

I just received the new pillar mount which includes all the adapters for the two versions of CS/CTS. I definitely like it better than the windshield mount plus it is more out of the windshield and closer to the dash. Easy and clean install and perfect color match.

I will contact edge and see if this has anything to do with it being a 16.

Any of you that had your ecms flashed. Do you still have the tire size adjustment that changes the speedometer? This is the main reason I bought the unit.
