Curious to know, do the front differential and transfer case turn when in 2wd? Specifically in a 2015 true 4x4 not the auto 4x4.

Thanks in advance!

No the axles obviously will as they are locked to the tires. No such thing as a locking hub conversion for our trucks. But as long as the center axle disconnect is unlocked properly, the front driveshaft (and R&P) should not turn. With all 4 tires on the ground this is why you can reach under and turn the driveshaft by hand.

I had a weird issue. Last night I attempted to place my 2016 ED Laramie Longhorn into 4wd. The light flashed and a message came up to Service 4wd. I had to stop the truck and turn it off to clear the message. This morning I attempted to put the truck into 4 low, as I read that someone else experiencing this issue did it and it resolved itself. I was able to get the truck into 4 low, but now it will not come out. I checked all my fuses in the fuse box. With the truck off, I can spin the front drive shaft, so I'm not sure it's in 4wd, but it sure feels like it. The truck surges when I shift between D, P, N, R. I'm thinking a bad actuator? I just turned over 94k, so I'm hoping it's still under warranty. I have an appointment Monday at the stealership.
