I give up. What are these straps for? What do they do?

My 2016 Big Horn Crew Cab has two black nylon straps or pulls that I cannot figure out. Each one is located on top of the back seat right behind each headrest. Does anyone know what they are for or what they do?

I'll tell you what they are good for. You can take apart the sizing band from your Ecodiesel hat or Pittsburgh Steeler hat and thread it through the loops. Then the hat just sits there until it's time to use.

Thanks guys - you have solved my mystery. Not having any need for child seats I never looked at that section of the owner's manual.
Now I know in the event any of my great grandchildren need a ride.

Think they forgot to install those in my truck. I had to fish the buckle on the kids seat down about 4 inches behind the seat before I could get it to snap into a hook that's back there. There is absolutely no possible way to remove the strap now short of removing the truck seat. When I do need to take his car seat out on occasion I have to disassemble the strap from his seat and leave the end in my truck. When it comes time to sell the truck I figure I'll cut most of the length of the strap and just let it hang behind the seat.

Sure wish mine had been installed with the straps your referring to..

Yup, this truck is great for kids, tons of room back there for them. These are not the best anchor points though. You actually feed the child seat strap through the loop and over to the centre seat loop. (As per the manual) My other vehicles have had a more secure metal anchor on the back of the seat. I realize the seats don't go down, so they had to think of something...it just seems a little Mickey Mouse.

OH MY GOD! I have been messing with those stupid things forever! And I even have carseats in my truck! Ugh. Thank you for finally solving this mystery. I've been using the metal anchors in the seats.
