That's a great looking combo. I haven't seen such a small fifth wheel trailer. Do you have the 6'4" bed? Not many here have done fifth wheel towing with the ecodiesel, but there are a couple at least. ANy trouble with clearances between the cab and trailer when turning?

 

Yes tell us about your trailer. Bet she pulls & parks easily and sips fuel by gas truck box TT standards.

 

Hi: VernDiesel... Haven't towed far enough to figure out mileage but on flat ground the on board trip comp. said 9 L/ 100 Km's. That's about 28 mpg in your language.

Welcome to the forum. You have a very unusual trailer design as small fifth-wheel's are not common.

People will want to know about that.

 

Hi: howie12... We have owned this Escape 5.0TA since 2014. It was the second TT out of the mold in this model. We owned a 2007 single axle 5.0 before this one. Had it for 6 yrs and sold it for $2000 less than purchased price. They hold their value better than any truck used to tow with. Where ever we take it people want to look at it and since there are no dealers that's ok with me. Buying direct saves money!!! Our 2016 Ram Eco Diesel has the 5' 7" box and so far it has been just right for the trailer but we do have a Husky EZRoller hitch that can be rolled out for 8+ inches more clearance from the cab. Haven't rolled it out yet, but it can be. It's not for everyone but for Gramma and Grampa and occasionally 2 grand daughters its fine. It weighs 4500#'s soaking wet and ready to camp so the new2me truck makes towing child's play.

Hi: Captainmal...THANKS!!! What's not to like... We take our 5.0TA to Florida for 2 months every winter. That pic was taken at Salt Springs CG. in Ocala Nat. Forest. Brings out the best in camper's. Another shot taken on the Natchez Trace with our former tug.

Hi: All... Towing mpg's of 25 to 26 miles per Imperial gallon calculated on a straight run to Ottawa On. our Nations Capital. I'm very happy with that!!!

Hi: All...Had a really great Niagara Wine Escape trailer rally in Niagara Falls in mid Sept. Some attendees thought it was a Ram EcoD. rally thinly disguised as a trailer rally!!! Four folks tuggin' w/ an EcdD. Ram!!!

Hi: BrianS... Just put a set of P275 60R 20 Toyo HT Open Country tires on the Eco D. Laramie Longhorn. http://www.toyotires.ca Little less cushion for the ride but lots more tread depth.

Hi: All... Just got back from 2 months of sun and sand. Glad to be back to Mobil Diesel fuel. Used Bio Diesel in Florida... didn't get as good of mileage, but then again I was towing a lot!!!

Hope you had your hip waders handy. You need to find higher ground. I was camping last weekend and there was some mud on the lower part of the site but no sitting water. You don't have far to go for a swim.

Hi: All...Started into my second year of ownership. Waiting for the other shoe to drop. I have 4 jugs of T6 on hand which should last me through the extra warranty I bought. My fire insurance is paid up too!!!

Hi: All... About to tug off w/ a jug of 50/50 pre mix coolant just in case. Last Oct. I treated with Hot Shots Extreme Diesel and have 1/2 a jug left. Should I add it to the first tank of our highway trip instead of waiting for 6 months?
