Is OBDWiz PC based? If it is, see if you can find the connection settings in it and compare to AlfaOBD.

I couldn't figure out how to view the settings on OBDWiz, but HUGE shout out to a_chernikov@hotmail.com (Alexey) for hooking me up with another activation code for the Galaxy A Tablet I bought. It connected in Demo mode after 10+ Tries. Good thing is mine is a 16 Limited, so most options are already enabled. I mostly want HID's in headlights, and led fog lights enabled.

If you're reading this and don't care what dealer you purchase from go to Alexey. I wasn't sweating the $50, but it's nice to be taken care of. Now my truck has it's own dedicated tablet lol.

Glad you got it worked out.

One thing I've learned as far as connectivity with the truck, it helps to 'force stop' any other apps you might have used with the truck such as Torque Pro. Simply closing the app doesn't seem to be enough.

Anyone know how to enable the SRT screens on the dash and 8.4?

I have a 2017 EcoD, or so I believed. Each time I plug in and spin up AlfaOBD the vehicle it seems to identify is a 2016. There is no 2017 on any menu. Do I really have a 2016 that is marked as a 2017 by the factory? Would this mean that I am qualified for the settlement money for 2014-2016 models? Should I have concerns?

You have a 2017. It's the Alpha that will just show as 2016

I have an '18 so obviously I will need to have the OBD bypass, but does anyone know if I can use Alpha OBD to change the TPMS units to PSI but still keep all of my other units like speed and temperature in metric?

Not that I can find. The instrument panel controller has one option for US or Metric. The Tire controller has no option for US or Metric.

My screen shows tire pressure in KPa , and in french , gotta be a few possibilities in the software , but ,
does not mean I would attempt messing around with multiple different displays ,
for different items , that Alfa OBD tool is powerful , and as some have already noticed ,
you could brick yourself into a corner using it carelessly , good luck , and if you dare to do it and have any success
I hope you will report your steps for others to follow .

I have a tradesman. I was able the activate the global windows down to roll the front windows down with remote and I changed tire size to adjust speedometer as I just installed slightly narrower tires(free and they grip great compared to stocks) and it was over by 4 mph.

Not sure what year your ED is but you can change those settings from the display. They are difficult to find but sure they are under settings somewhere as I changed them on a recent trip to Canada, etc. You can change the instrument settings from the steering wheel controls.

Seeing how it was 50 years ago that we put a man on the freakin moon, WHY doesn’t alfaOBD work on iPhones? My guess is that either the software engineers aren’t as smart as they would like us to think OR the folks at alfaOBD hate Apple devices and won’t support them.

It probably revolves mostly around iOS lack of support for Bluetooth serial communications. The app developers probably don't want or like to deal with Apple either on the software approval process. The developers could probably produce a bootleg app to get around the serial comm issue but it won't be in the App store to make money from it.

I think you are little off base. The software engineers you speak of, I am pretty sure is one guy. I’m not sure if Alexey hates Apple devices, but it is more difficult to get Apple apps approved. Not having made any apps myself I can’t speak to first hand, but that is always what I’ve heard.

And as far as how smart he his...he’s got a one of a kind product that has capabilities that the dealer doesn’t...and it’s reasonably priced and updated all of the time with new features.

I’m not an Android guy, so I bought the Windows software. Maybe you don’t have a Windows laptop? Sure I would love to have an iPhone app, Android tablets can be picked up pretty cheap.
