Does anyone know if the air intake (before or after the turbo) need to be removed in order to perform the HPFP recall? I am suspected an air leak. Regens are going through the roof.
The air intake doesn't get removed for the HPFP recall.

if you have an intake leak the boost loss will be very close to 4% but maybe not enough to trigger the P0299. Keith says the clamps are superior to other clamps. I'm not arguing with him, so use factory stuff. I can wiggle the clamps and throw a P0299. I'd have somebody watch the boost loss and wiggle some pipes and find the one prone to leaking if that's the issue. I zip tied mine to an intake cover stud lol. For me, at max load with the truck insanely hot towing with A/C on, I think one of my clamps leaks in a specific situation. I should probably just replace the hose/s but I'm kinda waiting for the intake to choke itself to death and do it all at once. Just put the e-brake on and brake boost it.
