Anyone have issues with EOC?

I've been trying to contact various vendors about an "off-road" weight reduction kit.

Of course EOC doesn't take calls from anyone who isn't local, so I reached out via email asking someone to call me so I could discuss things with them.

They replied that email was sufficient. Sigh, conversation is less productive over test/email than voice.

In a follow up reply, I mentioned my displeasure with not being able to have a real conversation to save everyone's time and lesson the chance of misunderstanding (no harsh words or name calling, just voicing my opinion).

I did type in my questions with enough detail so we both understood (I hoped). I wanted more info about various aspects of their Stage 2 Basic Kit

They promptly replied that based on my reply to a simple email that they were not the best option for me and advised me to look elsewhere.

<dumb-founded look on my face>

What the hell? Am I at fault here? I can post the contents of the email chain so all can see what transpired, if so interested.

Are all these companies like this to deal with?

Happy to accept all the internet abuse if I've somehow caused some angst with these folks in Maple Ridge, BC

I called. Their automated answering system asks anyone who is not local (Maple Ridge, BC) to use email to contact them. So, that's what I did, and ended with the reply that they weren't a good fit for me. Which is short for "F"-Off (my opinion)

A five minute phone call could have replaced a lengthy back and forth over email wrought with potential misunderstandings. Communication is quicker and more accurate via voice (I find), than texting or email. And as a newbie they could have "corrected" any misunderstanding I may have quickly and with less effort on both our parts

I agree, documentation is one of the benefits to emails over voice.

And I did comply to their request, and drafted a fairly lengthy email with a couple of pictures to refer to.

For whatever reason, I rubbed them the wrong way by voicing my opinion that a quick call would help me more, trying to get futher clarification on some of the options.

For instance, I wanted to know the finer details (differences/attributes) of the transmission tune with manual mode. If you're in manual, will the transmision still shift for you while you're in 8th like it does now? Did you need to pay for both items, were they mututally exclusive, things like this.

I feel now they won't even accept an order from me, even if I find the answers I require on my own 🤷‍♂️

Welcome to the site :)

EOC , they are just an outfit that redistributes products sold by someone else ; Tunes , exhaust components , programmers , EGR delete kits , etc
if I had questions about the tune I would research " MrTuning " to find them ,
ask Mr.Tuing the questions ,
I feel your frustration but I guess EOC does not want to give explanations that could be interpreted wrong
and later get blamed for it , they just want to put together packages and ship them out .
you have found a site with knowledgeable members here , maybe you'll get answers here .

Pick a shop and phone , good luck :

EOC is in a position where they sell the best Eco tuning on the market (MRtuning) along with good customer service. They can choose how they do their business (email only) and also discriminate on who they want as a customer. I've gotten to know the owner pretty well and it's been my experience that his judgement in denying some customers has been pretty accurate. Not saying that's the case here, but it's their prerogative and they're likely right more than they're wrong.

You can go through Martin (MRtuning) but he's a super busy guy and usually recommends most people use EOC.

Well, it's true it is his perogatove, but it's frustrating that something as minor as this would elicit that sort of response given my intent to purchase while just looking for clarification on a few details. My loss I guess. 🤷‍♂️

Also, EOC has stated on FB that if you email them, just wait for a response. If you send another email, it puts you back at the end of the line.

So, since I'm looking for details on the tunes, I'll ask this here.

When they offer a Transmission tune w/ Manual Mode. What exactly does that mean? Does it act like a stock transmission where you must shift up and down using the steering wheel buttons, unless you're in 8th where auto shifts for you? And the regular transmission tune disables the manual shift option?

This feature was nice in my previous 2021 5.7 Hemi-powered Ram 1500, which prevented the MDS from kicking in but made the truck shift a little better

those 2 images use the truck's upper downpipe , clamp model to swear at ....
the piece of art exhaust from T&S looks different and does not use that stock clamp
for transition , and still have the hole for the first NOX sensor built in .
.
some images show delete pipes without that hole ....
more stuff to ask questions about ,

Ah, now I think understand what you're referring to. Replacing the downpipe off the turbo with the T&S. I can't find a link on the T&S site for it, unfortunately. Any chance you could supply a link?

And ECO has some new turbo back items, "coming soon", but not available yet

I would like to have the shop floor littered the same way after my weight reduction exercise. If I can get the tuner and start with a Stock or Stage 1 tune while I gather all the exhaust parts, I'd be happy

You experience with EOC is not unique. The owner has no issue telling you to F-off and your not the first. He tried to be active on the forum at one point, but he doesn't like when people question him or doesn't treat him like Jesus. They gained enough business through facebook they can treat people however they like and followers will support it. Here's a thread with both the owner and Martin just being who they are.

I've went straight to MRT for tuning twice (Gen 2 and Gen3) and had a quick turn around. Not a fan of the tuning on either platform and don't run them on my Gen3 I currently have. Unfortunately, they are the least crappy option if you want to delete. For whatever reason, T&S removed the options for the DT Ram off their website last I checked.

About tune options : stage 1 Tune keeps all emission in place , Stage 2 Tune removes all emission stuff
you are looking for a straight tube so ... stage 2 Tune for you

The EGR does have 2 version of removal ,
Stage 1 only 2 plates that remove the diffuser tube between EGR and intake

Stage 2 blocking 4 locations : ( with stage 2 Tune you need stage 2 EGR delete ) ,
2 for coolant , 1 on intake , 1 at turbo to remove turbo up pipe

EOC EGR delete kits were overpriced
And can be found for a lot less

Update

EGR kit ordered from BCDiesel (NoEco is on backorder)
T&S is sending me a Paypal invoice for the turbo to muffler exhaust kit
I've reached out to MRTuning about getting the PG4 and Stage 2 tunes, ordering once I have a chance to ask some questions

Thanks everyone for your comments, suggestions, patience, etc.

did you find out if the Mr.Tuning stage 2 tune needs the first Nox sensor to be present in the downtube ??
so.. does that hole need to be there or does the tune not require that you scew in that sensor in that position ??
images 4 5 6 and 7 in post #23 have the different possibilities .....

Installed stage 2 tune Alientech from eco performance plus 3 pc ss downpipe back to muffler..
No sensors in pipe. This is a 2020 engine in a 2014 truck. Eco is a little touchy BUT they do answer emails its obvious to my way of thinking they are very good at what they do..And like most artists they do things their way or ???? But I found no options and dug pretty deep looking for someone who had done this.. and eoc came thru for me on a very interesting swap...I was told by many not even to attempt this just buy a 22k crate engine from the dealer.... Told that by GDE but I I just had to prove all the naysayers were wrong...besides the 22K crate engine would be a 2014 version...I wanted the last version It was NOT a plug and Play..
