So the previous connection issues I was facing were entirely my fault. I believe I hooked up my security bypass cable incorrectly. Anyways, I got it all connected and have another question.

I had a Check Engine light on and the Glow Plugs indicator light would intermittently blink. I connected to the Engine with alfaOBD and received the following code:
Error code: P06BC
Cylinder 4 Glow Plug Circuit Performance
Error intermittent
Error warning lamp 'ON' requested
I cleared the fault and upon restarting the truck the check engine light was off. However, the Glow plug light still blinks intermittently.

Does anyone know if I need to connect to another another module to clear the error?

If it is an intermittent fault and you don’t fix it, it won’t matter how many times you clear it, it will come back.

I ordered a bypass harness from kaodtech for my forthcoming 2020 3500. I'm not sure if I want to install it as "temporary" or "permanent". I'm leaning to permanent but wonder if the dealer techs would have any problems hooking up or using their software or testers. Does anyone know or have advice?

I didn't need a bypass harness for my 2016 so this is new to me.

I guess my question is did I even turn off the Glow plug light in the first place, or did my actions only turn off the MIL?
After you clear the code, check the codes again. If it is still there, check the freeze frame data and it should give you some idea how long it has been set. The MIL may only light after a certain number of times the fault is detected.

Sorry if this question has been asked/answered, is it possible to turn off the traction control or anti-skid feature? I didn't realize how intrusive the feature is in deeper snow. Went ice fishing on frozen lake which had couple feet of snow and was not impressed with the safety feature. At one point it crossed my mind I may not get out of the snow, ended up using 4 low. It takes the fun out of spinning a brody on smooth ice as well. I ordered the MX & should be here next week. If someone has disabled the feature, would you give me an idea where find it?
Thank you

You can't disable the vehicle Traction Control/ESC with AlfaOBD, it part of the ABS system.
When you go play out on the ice, pull the F26 fuse but you'll want to replace it before driving on the streets as this will disable the ABS from kicking in.

I was afraid that was the case. I didn't think of pulling the fuse because one minute we were floating on crusty stuff & the next minute were in the deep stuff and couldn't figure out why it felt like we had no giddy up.
Thank you for the info

Here's what I've done so I can turn it all off on the fly, in 2WD or 4wd.

googled around and found this kit... 100% plug and play. They are at full brightness and are wired via the ambient lighting wiring in the door.

If/when I have the extra scratch, I may try it out.

That’s roughly twice as much scratch as what I bought; but way easier! Slightly different function, but gets the job done.

Hoping for some advice
i have a 2018 ED with a GDE tuned ECM. I just purchased a spare ECM from a 2017 and getting ready to install it using The AlphaOBD app and a Bluetooth OBD port adapter. Do I also have to buy/install an OBD security module bypass? Thanks for any help!

Yes you will need security gateway bypass cable. This place makes really good harnesses: Security Module Bypass | KaodTech
