Has anyone purchased the aluminum Jeep pan and compared the depth to the plastic one? I wonder if the metal pan allows a little more ground clearance.
I run the aluminum PPE pan. With it's increased capacity and ribbed (for her pleasure) design I think you lose ground clearance. Love the pan though.

I purchased and just installed a 2019 Jeep Wrangler pan on my 2015 Eco-D ZF8, it's steel and from the weight about 1/8" thick steel. It might have a 1/4" more clearance because it isn't finned, but unlike the plastic pan that's not an issue because a stick or rock isn't going to crack it. Capacity must be close to the same, the fluid change took exactly 6 qts. The only negative is it does not have a drain plug, that's not an issue for me most of my past vehicles didn't have drain plugs.

The P/N IS 68362041AB, it has a replaceable filter, P/N 684170054AB. The filter bolts to the pan, two bolts. It's marked PA66-GF-35 Mopar sites sell the filter for about $28.00.

I recommend Autotecnica 68225344AA Transmission Oil Pan & Filter Kit, Aluminum Construction selling Amazon for 95$ fits very well my 2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio and holds about 0.5qt more fluid but unfortunately mine was cracked and I returned back, I’ll give a try next oil change, so I recommend if anyone who wants to give a try make sure not doing same mistake I did just to check it a day before installation just fill it with oil and check if leaks.

Welcome to the forum.

Can you explain why you're recommending a product that you received in damaged condition?

welcome arxigos1111 (y) that pan looks very nice;)

Cause fits perfectly well ZF 8HP automatic transmission, unfortunately for me arrived damaged shipping damage but that has nothing to do with the quality of the pan.
I would question the strength of the construction if easily cracked during shipping.

But thanks for throwing another product up here for members to have more options.

An Amazon review:

"Aluminum, Great Idea but poorly executed. The pan was too shallow which pressed against the plastic harness inside the transmission, thus preventing it from going into park. A waist of money, had to get all new trans fluid again. "

It looks pretty solid and heavy but packing was really bad there is nothing about protection like bubble wrap or foam.

Hi, I recently used the autothentica aluminum pan when doing the transmission. The factory pan at 100Kkm had a fair bit of fine metalic slime on the magnets and the green oil was pretty much not green. I have probably 60% towing km on the truck so it wasn't babied. I measured what came out of the drain plug and subsequently drained out of the pan and the filter and ended up with 4.6L of old oil. It is possible to fill the transmission through the fill port if you jig up a 90degree elbow. I pumped in 4.9L of new oil and lost 50cc putting the fill plug back in, so have 1 cup more in than I drained out.
The aluminum pan fits, despite what amazon says, the torque value is 4nm on the rubber gasket and that gave no leaks now 200km later. It is -30C here the last two weeks and the transmission oil is pretty much a consistent 20C cooler than the coolant on the display. We'll see how it plays out once the camping season starts again for temps.
I plan on draining the pan again once the weather warms up and putting in another 5L of new oil, my math brain isn't great these days, but think that changing 60% of the oil in the transmission twice will replace the majority of the old oil.
I used the Castrol full synthetic multi-vehicle that has the ZF6-8-9 in its compatibility list.
It appears that the pan is quite robust and that the cooling capability of the aluminum is better than the composite the plastic pans are made out of as prior to the change at -25C the transmission temp was 5C cooler than the coolant on the display

No need to post in multiple threads. If you feel it's important, start a new thread. I'd also suggest following ZF's fill procedure, not this measuring stuff.
