That sounds reasonable, what is the labor on them?
That's a good question. It would depend on the dealer/shop, but I wouldn't be surprised if the cost was $1,000 for the install since the injectors need to be reprogrammed.

Well, fellas, the injectors are covered under the AEM warranty so I'm not inclined to buy new ones out of pocket. Y'all spend your money how you wish, but to me, just buying new injectors and be done with it isn't in my budget. What if it isn't the injectors? Then you've got $2k spent and you still have the same problems.

Let us know what the dealer says. I'm not sure if your oil analysis will be enough to get FCA to approve the diagnoses and/or repair, but that's a good start. @OhioTech suggested doing an injector return flow test. Either way, you've got a fuel dilution problem, which is most likely an injector problem.

Seems like if you have fuel dilution you know you have an injector, HPFP, or emissions equipment issue. All of those are covered under the AEM. Seems they should figure it out.
FCA doesn't do preventative maintenance with their warranty, so I'm not sure if the injectors would be considered broke or not. It seems that as long as the ECM doesn't show any codes and the truck runs fine, then there's nothing broke!

Honestly, it's worth a try going to the dealer to see what they say. At least it will be recorded/documented. If they say there's nothing they can do, then I would bite the bullet and swap out all the injectors.

If their is a spec for their fuel return as referenced above or that they are diluting the oil I think there is plenty case to be made. Seems many have had success contacting the attorneys that ramrodded the AEM…

Yes, but there needs to be a documented reason for them to do testing. If there's no code, then FCA can be difficult to work with. It would be nice if they would except the oil analysis report, but there's no guarantee.

I think I'm just going to change my oil every 3k miles for a while
Walmart has DELO 400 SDE 15W-40 2.5 gallons for $40 delivered to my door.

Me thinks top isn’t planning on keeping long term?
Agreed. To a certain extent, the EcoDiesel is a throwaway engine. But in this case, I would install new injectors and keep on going.

I think eight years IS long term :)
If you don't feel morally guilty, this would be a good time to trade-in your vehicle.
